What floor plan did you choose and what attracted you to this design?

We chose the Naples floor plan. We were attracted to the open layout, especially how the home flowed (e.g., the dining room to the kitchen, the kitchen to the family room, the family room to the deck). Additionally, the walk-out lower level offers plenty of room and is ideal for entertaining. For us, the Naples was the complete package.

As you have watched your new home’s design come to life, what have been your favorite features?

The entire build process was excellent, but we truly love the arched doorways, vaulted ceilings, covered deck and the way the beauty of the backyard flows into the home.

What did you enjoy most about the home building process? 

We enjoyed working with our Market Manager Kellie, our Design Consultant Candice and our Builder Greg. The three of them made the process fun and interactive – especially since we were living in Maryland while having the home built in Kentucky.

What advice would you give others who are interested in building a home?

While you think there is plenty of time for choosing the floor plan, going to the Design Center, etc., it moves very quickly. Take a little time to think about how you intend to use the home, what features you would like and be willing to discuss your thoughts with the great Drees team.

Why did you choose to build with Drees?

The quality of the construction and the floor plans attracted us in the beginning, but as we worked through the process, the Drees team's professionalism made the difference.
