When designing his Drees home, Paul had a couple must-have features in mind. In the deluxe kitchen, he wanted a custom refrigerator and freezer, plus a dual oven/cooktop. His family room is anchored by a stunning wood burning fireplace, which is flanked by built-in bookshelves. Paul had built homes through custom builders before, but he found his experience with his Drees Team to be even more enjoyable without compromising on his wish list.
I chose a Brynlee II Elevation F to build. This plan was a Drees 90th anniversary that was only built in Houston. Due to the work my sales agent, Tara Kessler, did I was able to build it in Wolf Ranch. What attracted me to this plan was the timeless elevation that had elements of classic homes of the past while containing all the contemporary features that I was looking for.
A few of those features were the commercial kitchen which included a built-in refrigerator/freezer as well as a 60" dual oven / cooktop. Also being able to have a 50" wood burning fireplace which is the centerpiece of my living room.
Being able to work with my Builder Trey Bright as well as my sales Tara Kesseler brought a custom experience to production building. Both were attentive to my ideas and worked with me to implement them into my home.
Based on my experience I would say having a good understanding of what you want and what your vision is for the home you want would be most important. It allowed both Tara and Trey to make that happen.
I chose to build with Drees for a number of reasons with the main one being able to have a custom-building experience with a production builder. Drees was able to take my vision and make it a reality. I had built several homes before working with Drees and a number of those were full custom homes. I found the experience of building with Drees to be very similar to what I had experienced with a custom builder.
