Drees Employee Chooses DCCH Center for Children and Families to Receive $2.5K Grant

Jul 07, 2021

FORT MITCHELL, KY – A Drees Homes employee recently selected DCCH Center for Children and Families to receive a $2,500 grant. Each year, Drees recognizes one employee who is striving to improve the community by dedicating time, talent and energy to worthwhile causes. As part of the Community Service Award, the winning employee gets to choose a nonprofit to receive grant money. This year’s winner, Senior Design Consultant Beverly Kammer, chose DCCH Center for Children and Families, an organization that provides residential treatment, foster care, adoption, and counseling services to children and families.

Kammer has long served as the committee chair for The Drees Company’s partnership with the DCCH Center for Children and Families. Every year, employees at Drees Homes’ Fort Mitchell headquarters donate money into a fund that helps provide children with memorable holiday experiences. Kammer organizes the donation drive and all festivities.

Kammer, along with President and CEO David Drees, presented DCCH Center Executive Director Bob Wilson with a $2,500 check. “We are excited to award this grant to our longtime community partner,” David Drees stated. “Over the years, Beverly has done an excellent job facilitating donations, and we are looking forward to continuing this partnership.”

The award, previously called the Community Service Award, was recently renamed the Ralph A. Drees Community Service Award in honor of former CEO, President and Chairman of the Board Ralph Drees, who passed away on March 27.
