When they set out to build their dream home, Ainsley and Cal Bailey decided to build with Drees because they knew they’d be able to customize their home to get exactly what they wanted. Having owned two homes previously, the couple knew they would need five bedrooms to accommodate their family. They also wanted to add a garage and have plenty of space for their three children and dog to play.
The couple sat down with us to share their home building journey - from the floor plan they chose, to the design concepts to the subtle tips and tricks that make your home exactly what you envisioned.
We chose the Brinkley for many reasons. We loved the open floor plan and how we could have five bedrooms for our family to live comfortably. It has a great upstairs with a playroom and entertainment room, making the perfect oasis for our children. It is also wonderful to have a grand primary suite with his and hers closets. Overall, we are very pleased with the customizations we were able to add to the already impressive layout of the Brinkley.
We love the spacious bedrooms and open floor plan. It is a great hosting house and we love that we have plenty of space for our friends and family to come together.
We already lived in Walsh so it was fun to watch the house go up before our eyes and visit it throughout the process. Philip, Shauna, Liz and the rest of the Drees team were great about accommodating all of our customizations such as adding a fourth garage and an outdoor bathroom.
Pay attention to every detail from where the outlets are going to practical things like putting a sink in your pantry. Previously, we owned two homes so we knew exactly what we wanted.
We chose to build with Drees because we knew they were extremely reputable and build quality dream homes. We have several friends that are in Drees homes and they had great things to say about the building process.
